Equipping Believers To Rise Up And Fulfill Their God-Given Destiny!

 Rev. Darren McClelland
 Director of Men's Ministries

"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. 4  For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ." Jude 1:3-4
Jude was sounding a red alert to the church in his time, that false teachers and false believers were infiltrating the church and influencing the true believers. Even worse, the abuse of God’s grace through ungodly living was a denial of the true God and Saviour Jesus. We see the very same epidemic spreading in the church today, to our own shame. It is time for God’s own to walk in holiness, walking as Jesus walked (1 John 2:3-6). We believe this revival begins with and within God’s own men.
We are witnessing in our North American churches today the rapid demise of the Biblical man. This is the man who takes a stand for the Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1), meditates on the Word of God day and night (Psalm 1:2), and loves the Lord his God with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength (Matthew 22:37), staying in sweet moment-by-moment communion with the Lord in prayer. The Biblical man loves his neighbour as himself (Matthew 22:39), loves his wife and is faithful to her (Ephesians 5:25), loves and trains up his children in the Lord (Ephesians 6:4), and is a spiritual leader in his home, in his church, and in his community. The Biblical man is born again (John 3:3). He is a reflection of Jesus Christ, walking in the power of the Holy Spirit, forsaking sin and pursuing righteousness (1 Timothy 6:11), bearing righteous fruit that can be tasted and blesses a seeking, watching world around him every day (John 15:8). The Biblical man cultivates an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, abiding in Him daily (John 15:4-5), walking in humble obedience to His Word. This is the man who is intentional. This is the man of purpose.
Our Vision:
At Freedom Life Church International, we believe in the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God to revive the hearts of our men of all ages. We understand that spiritual growth never happens in isolation, but through the love of Christ in community, and the sharing and living out of God’s Word in our individual lives and through the life of the church family.
"Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend". Proverbs 27:17
We as men thrive spiritually in community, where love and truth live side by side, where our lives intersect under the love, mercy, and grace of Jesus and His great salvation. Though as individuals we may differ in upbringing, religious and cultural background, our redemptive experiences in Christ powerfully draw us together via the Holy Spirit. It is under the headship of Jesus, and our daily encouragement one to another that we are challenged to learn and grow as men of purpose in our homes, churches, workplaces, and paths of life. At Freedom Life Church International, we welcome all men to experience the love of Christ in community, and be transformed by His Word through the power of the Holy Spirit.
