The World Will Never Be The Same Again As We Know It

THE WORLD WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN AS WE KNOW IT

When we view world events on the television, we simply cannot deny that we are presently, right now, at this very moment living in the very days that Jesus described in Matthew 24:8 as being “the beginning of sorrows”. If you don’t believe this, then you don’t know the prophetic word of God, nor the voice of the Holy Spirit. The signs could not be any clearer, and it is either blatant obstinacy or blind ignorance that would argue this certain fact. Make no mistake about it—Jesus is coming. We are witnessing the evolving of a bloody revolution in Egypt right before our eyes. This is the beginning of the end—the beginning of sorrows that will surely escalate to the point of unimaginable anguish as the world continues to harden its neck towards the mercy and goodness of God that leads to repentance. Men’s hearts have become hardened to sin and their consciences numbed to conviction even as Christ forewarned in Matthew 24:12, “Because iniquity shall abound, the love of many will grow cold”. Unbridled iniquity is abounding with murder, violence, uprisings, nuclear threat, terrorism, government corruption and much more. Indicators of the beginning of sorrows and the world will never be the same again as we know it.

What exactly is Jesus referring to as being “the beginning of sorrows”? What are the signposts we are to look for? Matthew 24:4-7 records it as this—“Don’t let anyone mislead you,for many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am Christ.’ And they will deceive many.  And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must come to pass, but the end won’t follow immediately.  Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world.” Jesus spoke of men betraying one another, hating one another and offending one another in this dreadful time of the end. He spoke of children killing their parents and parents killing their children. This is only a small sampling of the horrors and torments that are to follow the beginning of sorrows. Prayerfully read through the book of Revelation and your eyes will be opened to understand what is coming. The world will never be the same again as we know it. In fact, Christ warned in Matthew 24:21-22  “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.  And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened”.

Jesus strictly cautioned us to beware of false prophets who will come declaring that things will get better and better and there will be global peace. This will be the very message that the Antichrist, the man of sin, will come preaching. He will forge a seven year peace treaty among the Middle East Arab nations and tiny Israel, but it will be a false peace that will bring sudden destruction with no escape for those who receive his mark as an action of worship and allegiance. Revelation 14:9-11 tells us that those who receive his mark will be damned for eternity in the lake of fire. Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand,  he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.  And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” The world will never be the same again as we know it.

The sooner we shake ourselves out of our spiritual slumber and begin to believe this and start preparing for the end, spiritually and practically, the better we will be. Knowing that this is a hard message to accept, especially in a nation that has been blessed with peace and prosperity more than any other nation, here is our blessed hope in the reality of the tribulation that is quickly coming –Jesus said in Luke 21:28, “Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” Don’t look down in fear, but look up in faith! Your salvation is at the door!
