A Prophetic Word for 2013
November 29, 2012

Right now, I’m in one of those rare seasons of sensing God’s closeness in hearing His voice. Not that He doesn’t speak regularly in various ways, but more often than not, the Christian life is a walk of faith and standing on God’s unfailing word without any supernatural inner-voice of the Spirit. So when I experience these precious times of knowing His manifest presence so near, I appreciate it because it encourages me to declare what He has revealed to me with a firm faith and unshakable confidence that He has spoken. My calling as a watchman in the Body of Christ obligates me to disclose to His Church what He has revealed to me. I don’t claim to have any special, privileged insight to the works and plans of God in these days, however, 1 Chronicles 12:32 tells us that the sons of Issachar had an understanding of the times and knew what Israel ought to do. God never leaves us in the dark. He shows us what His people ought to do in these perilous times that have promptly come upon us in North America. God still has His prophetic voices today through whom He can entrust His purposes on a larger scale for those of the Kingdom. I believe His timeless word still applies today which instructs us that “surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but He revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.” (Amos 3:7)

I believe God has proven me over the years in this calling and has found me faithful to speak what He tells me to speak, whether it’s popular or hard to swallow. The outcome of those who receive the word is always a blessing and an encouragement to their heart. That is what true prophecy will do according to 1 Corinthians 14:3 which informs us that, “he that prophesies speaks unto men to edification, and exhortation and comfort.” What a needed gift today for discouraged Christians who have been long waiting for God to fulfill His promise to them. A true word from the Lord spoken from a true prophet will always bring encouragement. Having said all that, I have an encouraging word from the Lord for those who have ears to hear and receive it.

As I mentioned at the beginning of this blog, I am in a season of heightened awareness to the voice of the Lord, my spiritual ears are tuned in to His revelation for such a time as this. Too many things have confirmed what I am about to share. You need to understand first of all, that this message is not for the entire Body of Christ, for even as in days of old, there were followers of Christ that the Bible called “disciples” who knew Him by name only but not by heart. They heard His words but they did not do them. Today there are many, and I mean many who claim to have membership in the elite Kingdom of Christ and yet they completely ignore His teaching that demands obedience, sacrifice and dying to self. Too many Christians today are spiritual “lone rangers” just doing their own thing, when they feel like it, when it’s convenient and if it doesn’t require commitment. Frankly, I am appalled at those who claim to love Jesus and yet have no conviction about being in His house regularly each Sunday worshipping with the family of God, when His word plainly states in Hebrews 10:25 that we are not to “forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” For all who claim to be followers of Christ and yet make no effort to spend time in His word or in passionate prayer with the need to stay pure and are not even bothered by it, this message is not for them. What God showed me is exclusively for those in the Kingdom of God who have waited patiently with tears and deep longing for the Lord to bring to pass the burning vision that He has planted in their hearts. This message is for all who love Jesus and prove it by keeping His commandments as they wait day by day without the slightest trace of evidence of the vision taking any shape. This message is for those who, with patience and perseverance, carry on in what they know to do where God has strategically planted them for a season even when everything within them is screaming for them to just quit and walk away.

There comes a time when patience has run its course and God writes the word “Faithful!” over His weary servants. In your patience, you have possessed your soul and now God is ready to act on your behalf. The word that the Lord spoke to me for the Body of Christ as I was locked away with Him in prayer is this: “2013 is the year of fulfilled ministry. Your labours have not been in vain and it is now time to reap the reward of faithful service in your obedience to My will.” Get ready for a mighty outpouring of showers of blessing to rain down in your life in every area! Your reaping of all that you have sown in tears will be fulfilled in 2013 and you will have tremendous joy in your great reward! Get your house and heart in order to receive all and more of what you have been patiently waiting for according to God’s unfailing promise to you! Be encouraged, dear friends, that God has not forgotten you and is right now preparing such a harvest that you will not be able to contain it—it will have to overflow from you to all around you! “Be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” (Hebrews 6:12)  The blessing that is now to come in 2013 is your rightful inheritance as a joint heir with Christ! You do not earn an inheritance, for it is already undeniably yours—you patiently wait for it to be fulfilled at the appointed time. There are still “Esau’s” today who despise their inheritance because they live according to the flesh and are not willing to patiently wait for it. They walk in their own carnal ways and have no interest or desire in the will of God and therefore will not receive their inheritance, but it will be given to another. I warn you—pay no attention to them and continue to walk in the will of God for your life. You have come too far and have too much at stake to lose it now. You will feel the onslaught of oppression from the enemy in a last ditch attempt to stop you and block your inheritance as the New Year draws closer and therefore, perseverance is the need of the hour. “For you have need of patience, that, after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise.” (Hebrews 10:36)

2013 is the appointed year of “fulfilled ministry” for those who have patiently waited upon the Lord through thick and thin! Get yourself ready for blessings beyond imagination! This is your year, praise the Lord!
